Keep your holiday stressfree and your guests comfortable by following these simple steps to get your Dallas-Fort Worth Area  home ready for the big feast this Thursday!

1. Add Light!

Your Thanksgiving guests cannot navigate your home in the dark quite like you can. Avoid injury by adding nightlights to bathrooms, bedrooms, and hallways to guide their way. Make sure that your front door is well lit so guests can easily make their way outside your home as well.

2. Declutter!

Remove all unnecessary item from your home's major rooms. This will create more space for your guests to gather and visit. Also, clear off all countertops and tables.

3. Prep your foyer!

Create a welcoming spot for your guests initial arrival. Make sure it is ready for the increased foot traffic by adding a rug to the area. Add storage space for guests outdoor items and consider adding a seat for guests to easily remove their shoes.

4. Clear the kitchen!

Ensure that all appliances and utensils you will need to create your feast are easily accessible. Keep counter tops cleared off for ample work space. Keep some additional seating in the kitchen so guests can visit with you as your cook!

5. Stock the bathrooms!

Add shelving or baskets in your bathroom and stock them with toilet paper, toiletries, and towels. This will help your guests easily find these essential items when needed.

6. Temperature control!

Everyone enjoys a different temperature when they sleep. Give your guests control over the temperature within their own sleeping area by providing a variety of blankets. Add ceiling fans to guest bedrooms so guests can change the temperature within the room without affecting anyone else in the house.
