2017 was a great year for real estate in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! The market ended strong in December. Every community in the area saw an additional 40+ homes sold during the last month of the year. The year to date sales for December 2017 were more than the same month in 2016 in 3 of the cities. Sellers enjoyed higher average prices in 2017 than they did in 2016, reflecting an increase in home values throughout the area. Home prices remained consistant between November and December of this year. Finally, homes continued to move quickly (in two months or less!) off the market. As Dallas/Fort Worth continues to be one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country, we look forward to seeing what happens in the housing market during this new year!
